Η διαβολοβδομάδα τελείωσε την Παρασκευή με τον καλύτερο τρόπο. Από νωρίς, βέβαια, όλοι περίμεναν να πέσει η νύχτα για τη Σιδηρά Παρθένο, αρκετοί όμως κουβαλήθηκαν με ντάλα ήλιο στη Mαλακάσα.

Πολλοί από όσους βρέθηκαν στο Terra Vibe χθες, Παρασκευή 20 Ιουλίου, είναι σίγουρο πως θα συμφωνήσουν στο ότι η εμφάνιση των Iron Maiden στο Rockwave ήταν η συναυλία της χρονιάς και ότι το «κτήνος» άλωσε τη Μαλακάσα!

Το 2011 στα πλαίσια της παγκόσμιας περιοδείας τους για το FINAL FRONTIER οι IRON MAIDEN επισκέφτηκαν την χώρα μας στις 17 Ιουνίου.Ο Steve Harris και η παρέα του βρίσκονταν στην Ελλάδα και στο TERRAVIBE PARK στην Μαλακάσα και οι προσδοκίες όλων μας ήταν πολύ υψηλές (όπως είναι πάντα από συγκροτήματα τέτοιου βεληνεκούς) και εκείνοι ποτέ δεν μας απογοητεύουν!

Με το Final Frontier στις αποσκευές τους και στα πλαίσια της προώθησης του, μας επισκοπήθηκαν στο Terra Vibe Park οι Βρετανοί το 2011. Στα πλαίσια του Sonisphere Festival, μαζί με μια πλειάδα καταξιωμένων γκρουπ του σκληρού ήχου (Slipknot, Mastodon, Rotting Christ, Gojira κ.α.), μια ζεστή Παρασκευή του Ιούνη, οι Maiden ήταν για ακόμα μια φορά πιστοί στο ραντεβού τους με το ελληνικό κοινό.

Πραγματοποιήθηκε με απόλυτη επιτυχία η πολυαναμενόμενη συναυλία του Paul DiAnno στα Χανιά μαζί με τα υπόλοιπα συγκροτήματα, ενώπιο 450 (!!!) ατόμων!

Bruce Dickinson, Iron Maiden's vocalist, visited our country, the 21st of July, for a single gig, in Lycabetus Theater in Athens. Greece was the only Bruce’s headline gig, during this European tour. The doors opened at seven o’clock and the band, took its position on the stage at half past nine. The band consisted from Alex Dickson (Guitar), Pete Friesen (Guitar), Chris Dale (Bass), Robin Guy (Drums) and of course Bruce Dickinson on the vocals.

Between the 12th and the 14th of April, Paul Dianno and his band, the Killers, visited Athens for one and only performance during their world tour. The whole thing apart from some minor problems that occurred worked out very well. The concert finally took place at the "AN Club" on the 14th of April and not the day before as it was scheduled (venue problems, but everything finally went fine).

January 26th, 2002 will be a day to remember for all BLAZE fans since it is the day that the band came for the first time here in Greece for two shows (Athens 26th and Thessaloniki 27th) and it is also the release day of the new album called Tenth Dimension.

All the Iron Maiden fans should have been on this gig... This was and will be the best gig I have ever been to! It was five o'clock when the doors of the stage opened, but fortunately a friend of mine informed me that the band was at Metropolitan Hotel next to Onasio hospital... When I heard that I took a cub and get to the hotel immediately! When I got there I saw Steve Harris in front of me...

Yup! The boys came for a gig in Athens after they canceled their previous one at Rockwave Festival due to Janick's sad accident. And yes dudes, they really kicked ass! More than we could imagine. I won't go into details about the setlist and the effects as all have been said before, I'll just write the unusual stuff: - Bruce and Nicko, during the intro of the Clansman started to dance in the middle of the stage Scottish style!

So the Athens gig ha? well IT WAS FUCKING GREAT. They started with the wicker man and all got crazy think about it... 15.000 people the played the exact set but... at the clansman Bruce stopped the song and sang, people got crazy and started to light fireworks, you know Dave Murray got a little scared and left the left wing of the stage and he went to the center.

Just a quick report on the Athens gig. It was a fantastic 3 days. I got in late on Thursday and met up with Spyros who contacted me after my request for help - he's a cool guy, seriously into Maiden. We had some beers and Greek food, I did the old touristy bit on Friday - Acropolis etc. The weather was scorching. Spyros drove us at 100 miles an hour to the gig, piping the horn and with BNW at full blast.
